Hello Emmanuel !

The mod is done !
You can link via XYZ !  :D
Always with the test server...
The Dell Core I5 dont work  :-\
Not enough power on the USB port to feed the RX888 so the bootloader works 1 time over 2
I will try a Lenovo Core I7 in the future

I learn a lot about Phantom and it's very pleasant and instructive.

Thanks to everybody for the sharing

Excellent dear Eric. Your WebSDR http://opex40.ddns.net:9002/ is on air.
Please allow me some remarks:

- Your WebSDR is not shown on the map. Maybe you wish not to be public, but if on the other side you want visitors to find you more easily, you have to edit .toml file you use, e.g.
[websdr]
register_online=true # If the SDR should be registered on https://sdr-list.xyz then put it to true
name="F1NSK" # Name that is shown on https://sdr-list.xyz
antenna="100 meters Loop Antenna with 6/1 matching transformer" # Antenna that is shown on https://sdr-list.xyz
grid_locator="IN93ku" # 4 or 6 length Grid Locator shown on https://sdr-list.xyz and for the Distance of FT8 Signals
hostname="opex40.ddns.net" # If you use ddns or something to host with a domain enter it here for https://sdr-list.xyzv

Modify your site_information.json  in something like this:
{
"siteSysop": "F1NSK",
"siteSysopEmailAddress": "f1nsk@wanadoo.fr",
"siteGridSquare": "IN93ku",
"siteCity": "Castets FR",
"siteInformation": "https://github.com/sv1btl/PhantomSDR-Plus",
"siteHardware": "Intel Core I3, ",
"siteSoftware": "Ubuntu 22.04",
"siteReceiver": "RX-888 MK2",
"siteAntenna": "100 meters Loop Antenna.",
"siteNote": "This is a bright new open source WebSDR project, which is dynamically developing.",
"siteIP": "http://opex40.ddns.net:9002/",
"siteStats": "http://opex40.ddns.net:3001/",
"siteSDRBaseFrequency": 0,
"siteSDRBandwidth": 30000000,
"siteRegion": 1,
"siteChatEnabled": true
}

Then recompile frontend and restart server. From this point, your WebSDR will be shown on the map https://sdr-list.xyz/ and when a visitor clicks on your callsign, will see your information in QRZ (in your case the visitor will see https://www.qrz.com/db/F1NSK)

All this is optional, but be sure that the future visitors of your server will appreciate this.

Thanks for the report Darko.

All the benefits come from the antenna.

I've made a 100 meters horizontal square loop at 6 meters above ground.

At the feedpoints the loop is loaded by a 1000 ohms/10W non inductive resistor.
I've made an isolating and matching transformer on a feritic binocular (43 material)
Five turns at the antenna side and two turns at the RX side.
So the impedance ratio is 6.5/1 (the best choice after multiple tests )

The antenna analyser (Rigexpert) show a SWR curve between 1.5 and 4 on 0/30 mhz wideband.
Not so bad for RX only purpose.

This setup is shared to all my rigs by an active five output Elad splitter.
And to finish my QRA is 63 meters above sea leval in a relatively quiet industrial aera !  ;D

Best regards and 73's

I am currently listening to 9A and S5 hams on 3675khz LSB.

Excellent reception, clean location!
Thanks  F1NSK (and SV1BTL)  :)

Congratulations one more time. Your server is not listed on the map. Is it your choice, or you missed something?

I'm waiting a clean compilation on the new core I5 ! 8)

At this time the system suffer of little audio losses and the CPU goes a little too hot.
Core I3 work but only with a very little charge.

Its good for test and mods purpose but not for production.

Stats work as expected

but you are not shown on map : https://sdr-list.xyz/

Maybe you have forgotten to edit the .toml file you use, to show your websdr on the map:

Personally, because I am coming from Windows, I use desktop standard version of Ubuntu 22.04, not the server version. I use to work with GUI, not with terminal only, not with SSH, although when it is needed, I can work through SSH as well. But GUI is my first choice.

"Stats" will work in all cases.

General Discussion / Ubuntu Standard or Server ??
Last post by F1NSK - Jan 26, 2026, 05:27 PM
Hello

This week i will compile Phantom 1.6.7 on a new PC with Core I5.
What is the better option if i make "stats" available ? Standard or Server release ?
It seems that "stats" don't run on standard 22.04...
