Title: PhantomSDR+ & RSP1a
Post by: Phil - NY4Q on Nov 02, 2024, 08:40 PM

I have set up a 'sandbox' at home and have it running an RSP1a for VHF.

I can hear either a 120 cycle hum (or the repeater CTCSS tone) in the audio when systems are up. Is there an audio high pass option I can send to PhantomSDR+ upon startup? Running :

There is a button on the websdr  to remove the tone.

Not all repeaters use the (stupid) tone.

I hate CTCSS....who ever invented this for Ham-Radio should be shot 8)

As the tone is abused...and not used instead of 1750...

In my opinion the CTCSS should be e.g. 50Hz all over the world, for all repeaters.

Not to kick people out that don't know the tone to open it, as it does. 1 tone..all over the world, like 1750 was.

I hate CTCSS, as well as DMR and their shit. It's not ham-radio at all.

Ah, thank you Bas. I do not know why I didn't tap that button to see what it did. I guess I thought it would decode the tone. ha

AMEN, to DMR/D-STAR/Fusion. Yuck.
