Hi,
I have been trying unsuccessfully to get Phantom to start running automatically on a reboot.
I wrote a .sh file, but on running it throws up errors, which I think are associated with the start-rx888mk2.sh
file.
I have noticed that sometimes when RX888 and Phantom stop talking to each other for whatever reason. I have to try manually running start-rx888mk2.sh several times, before it gives the desired responses and the browser waterfall and audio work.
Some of this seems to be associated with how quickly, I retry start-rx888mk2.s after the previous attempt.
I wonder if some time delays need to be added to improve the stability at start up ?
Could an auto start option be added for unattended operation. As I currently have to restart mine several times a day.
Could some sort of watchdog be added, so that when the streamer, or and associated process fails, it can be kicked back into life automatically ?
I think all of these things are desirable when used for automatic unattended operation.
Regards,
Martin
I have the same issue. My PhantomSDR is running now more than one week without a crash :-)
My PhantomSDR Plus is watched by a cloud service which is checking my URL every 2 hours.
If the service fails to reach my PhantomSDR URL, I will get an e-mail.
I remotely restart the HP DeskPro PC, establish an AnyDesk connection and start the PhantomSDR Plus with the long command.
An autostart solution after a reboot would be great.
